London and Charleston, SC, February 24th, 2026 — Henderson Park, a leading global real estate investment firm, today announced the appointment of Liza Kunkel as Global Head of Communications. Based in Charleston, South Carolina, Liza will sit within the firm’s Capital Partnerships team and lead Henderson Park’s global communications and reputation strategy.
Liza Kunkel brings more than a decade of experience building and leading high-performing, global communications functions within complex, investment-driven organizations. She is recognized for her strategic judgment, collaborative leadership style, and ability to strengthen institutional reputation while advancing business priorities.
Most recently, Kunkel served as the Global Head of Communications at Greystar Real Estate Partners, where she built the firm’s first enterprise-wide communications function. In this role, strategy, internal communications and corporate marketing globally.
Prior to Greystar, Liza was a Director on Blackstone’s Public Affairs team, where she focused on external relations and media strategy for senior leadership across private equity and real estate.
In her role at Henderson Park, Liza will work to strengthen the firm’s brand, investor communications, and market profile. She will oversee the firm’s global press office, serve as a firm spokesperson, and manage relationships with key media and external stakeholders.
